I put up a trip report from my hike of Mt. Garfield and Owl’s Head, which I did by doing a long traverse through the Pemigewasset Wilderness.
I put up a trip report from my hole of 3 White Mountain 4000 footers, The Twins and Galehead Mountain.
When I originally got my tickets for the 2002 US Open Men’s Championship I merely hoped for some kind of decent matchup. As it got into the later rounds and I saw Lleyton Hewitt, Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick still sticking around, I started to get pretty excited. After Agassi knocked off Hewitt to set up a finals match with Pete Sampras I couldn’t believe the luck. Many times over the last couple of years Agassi and Sampras both seemed like they were way past their prime and on the verge of retirement. This was almost like a double shot of the unexpected run Jimmy Connors made in 1991. It turned out to a great match on a day with perfect weather in my old hometown of Queens. Sampras played nearly perfect with 33 aces and won with a 6-3, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 victory. Click here to see some pics.
