Since I am lacking for content on this site lately I figured I would put up some more pictures from my trip to England and Scotland back in November. This latest photo album is some pictures from London, including a bunch from the British Museum.
Even though it’s called the British Museum, there actually isn’t that much British about it. It’s more of a museum for ancient treasures. The museum is one of the more famous of the London museums and is known for things like Rosetta Stone and the Elgin Marbles, a.k.a. parts of the Greek Parthenon.
In trying to remember what some of the exhibits I saw were, I came across The British Museum Compass, a great site that lets you explore the collections online. Very nice if you want to remember or find out more about something you saw or if you want to go to the museum but you can’t make it to London.
